Step-by-step: how to apply via ksavisa.sa, required documents, fees, health insurance & how to track your application — for all nationalities.
A family visit visa (تأشيرة زيارة عائلية) allows a Saudi resident (Iqama holder) to sponsor their immediate family members — wife, children, parents, in-laws — to visit Saudi Arabia for up to 90 days per entry. The sponsor must have a valid Iqama and apply online via ksavisa.sa (MOFA) using their Absher/Nafath account.
Download the Nafath app (available iOS & Android) and link it to your Absher account. Nafath is Saudi Arabia's digital identity system — it generates a one-time verification code when you log in to government portals. Without Nafath, you cannot access ksavisa.sa as a sponsor.
Log in to absher.sa → Individuals → My Services → Visa Services. Confirm your Iqama is valid (at least 3 months remaining is recommended before applying for a family visa). Your Iqama number is your sponsor ID.
Go to visa.mofa.gov.sa → Click "Sponsor Login" → Select "Absher / Nafath" login → Nafath app will send a push notification — approve it → You are now logged in as the Saudi sponsor.
Click "New Application" → Select visa type: "Family Visit Visa" → Enter applicant details exactly as in their passport:
Scan and upload the documents listed below. Files must be PDF or JPG, each under 2MB. The system checks document quality — blurry uploads will be rejected.
ksavisa.sa will prompt you to buy health insurance before payment. Select an insurer from the approved list (Bupa, Tawuniya, MedGulf, AXA, etc.). Choose a plan — Class C is the minimum acceptable. Pay via credit/debit card or SADAD.
SAR 300 visa fee + SAR 27.6 e-services fee = SAR 327.6 per applicant. Pay via credit card, mada card, or SADAD bill payment. You will receive a payment confirmation email and SMS.
Once approved (3–7 working days), download the visa approval reference number from ksavisa.sa and share it with your family member. They then:
Your family arrives at any Saudi airport or land border. Immigration officer scans visa sticker and stamps the passport with entry date. The 90-day clock starts from entry date — NOT visa issue date. Make note of the exit deadline.
